Cristina Comuñas (Barcelona, 1979), under the name The Color of Crist, is a graphic artist whose work moves between Design and Illustration.

She began her creative career in the year 2001 during her training in Graphic Design and has since been gradually evolving towards a more personal field, close to Art. She has experimented with different creative areas and explores any discipline involving graphic aspects. She also entered the fields of Painting and Ceramics as a tool for her progress, which is partly self-taught.

At present, Cristina is specialized in the creation of visual elements on any support. What she enjoys most as a creator is to apply her drawings to all types of products and reach the point where art and commerce meet. Her distinctive and vibrant illustrations are perfect for a wide range of fields such as publications, fashion, music & brands and her digitalized drawings fit perfectly with the internet age.

Her intuitive handmade work focuses on expression and is heightened with attention to, fluid, spontaneous and energetic line. She is always on the search for the perfectly-imperfect, expressive and loose strokes, which are mainly freehand. She likes the immediateness of drawing because it allows her greater impulsiveness and freedom while reflecting the essence and energy of the instant without necessarily being literal. She makes her art with different mediums while maintaining a consistent aesthetic, building her visual “brand” .. Her effortless but meticulous style of unrepeatable images is characterized by the greatest care in composition, authenticity and accuracy.
